Brown Sugar Hair Salon Dublin Review

You've probably already heard of Brown Sugar Dublin, and with good reason too. If you're looking for a salon experience which reduces stress, rather than inducing it look no further.

Brown Sugar has two branches, one in Blackrock & one in trendy South William Street in the heart of Dublin's city centre. They also have just launched a sister salon Sugar Cubed, in other words there is a demand for their services - and rightly so!

My first impressions upon booking my appointment were shock at how friendly all the staff were, and their eagerness to help. Upon being patch tested I was booked in for a half head of highlights & a blow dry. I have Great Lengths Hair Extensions applied to my hair, so it's also vital any salon I go to knows how to treat them properly.

On the day of my appointment I talked through exactly what I wanted with my stylists. I found them both knowledgeable and honest.

My colour was applied quickly, and soon I was whisked off to 'The Treatment Room' - this is my favourite bit. Usually I HATE getting my hair washed in hairdressers, the sinks are uncomfortable and the process is boring.

Not in Brown Sugar. The treatment room is an entirely different room to the salon itself, step inside and you're greeted with soothing music and MASSAGE CHAIRS. Yes, I'm serious you get your hair washed, get to recline in a massage chair and also a head massage from your stylist.

Once my hair wash washed it was time for my blow dry, which also was perfect and quick.

If you're thinking of treating yourself I'd recommend booking in for a blow dry, or cut & colour. Services don't come cheap, however I do think you get what you pay for.

Better yet Brown Sugar have extended their opening hours, they will now be open until 8PM on Thursdays & Fridays, and also opening Sundays 12PM - 5PM - super handy if you work long retail hours!

Brown Sugar Blackrock is now also offering Great Lengths Hair Extensions.

You can find the full price list here.

Have you been to Brown Sugar or are you planning a trip soon?
